Irmo Fire District Chaplain laid to rest

Posted

Anthony Philip Giunta, the Irmo Fire District’s chaplain since 2017, has been laid to rest and was honored on May 31.

This was written on the Irmo Fire District’s website: “Today we laid to rest our Chaplain, Anthony Giunta, known to us as ‘Doc.’ Doc faithfully served as our District’s Chaplain from 2017 until his passing earlier this month. He was a Catholic Priest and retired Military Chaplain, as well as a former Firefighter, Arson Investigator, and Clinical Psychologist/Pastoral Counselor. While we are saddened that he is no [longer] earth side, we are grateful for many years of memories that we will eternally cherish. We feel blessed to have had him as our Chaplain. He will be missed.”
