With Mother’s Day on May 9, here’s a couple of knee slappers for Mom.

• A little girl is serving her father tea while her mother is out shopping. The mother comes home and the father says, “Watch this!” The little girl goes and serves the mother tea.

The mother turns to the father and says, “Did it ever occur to you that the only place she can reach to get water is the toilet?”

• Dad used to sing little ditties. This was my favorite: There was a young lady named Mabel. She danced on the dining room table. Her face grew red, When the gentleman said, “Look at the legs on that table!”

• Mothers checking their kids’ homework have found such gems as:

- The parts of speech are lungs and air.

- The inhabitants of Moscow are called Mosquitoes.

- A census taker goes from house to house increasing the population.

- A virgin forest is a forest where the hand of man has never set foot.
