If you still haven’t done a Vacation Bible School this summer, or are looking for one more fun week before the summer comes to an end, Red Bank Baptist might have just the right option for you. It’s offering the “Roar! Life is Wild, God Is Good” Vacation Bible School July 28-August 1, 6-8:30 pm. There are classes from preschool through 6th grade plus an adult class. Red Bank Baptist is at 1357 S. Lake Drive. For information call 359-2681.
Lexington District One School Board has approved the purchase of a 35-acre parcel of land on South Lake Drive at Bluefield Road for a new elementary school. This is part of the building plan to accommodate growth in our area. The school will have access both on South Lake Drive and on Blue-field Road at the point where a large subdivision is being built.
A big Around Red Bank welcome to Tomeka D. Love, recently named assistant principal at Carolina Springs Middle School. Love is a graduate of Clemson University, and she comes from an assistant principal position at Felton Laboratory Charter School in Orangeburg. She was the 2014 Teacher of the Year at Saluda Elementary.
