Kids Day had the town jumping

AROUND LEXINGTON COUNTY

Downtown Lexington was jumping with children Saturday at the annual Kis Day sponsored by Oalmetto Chiropractic. How nice it was to see downtown thriving and peple coming together in the heart of our town. The Icehouse Amphitheater and town center were dotted with tents covering numerous booths.

The mission of Kids Day is to create a better community by educating and caring for families iwth ove, honesty, and laughter.

The inspiring exhibits offered advice on safety, health and enviromental awareness. There were fun things like face painting, jumping and sliding on the large blow-ups, meetins EMS attendants and manning their vehicles. Cheerleaders and gymnasts entertained the crowd with spirit and acrobatics.

Of course, there was a variety of food and beverages. On a mail-order-perfect day, Kids Day was a huge success. Proceeds from the event benefit the Nancy K. Perry Children’s Shelter and the Dickersen Center for Children.

Assisting with the activities were Randy Halfacre, Scott Adams, Bill Lesesne, Edwin Gerace, Sylvia Backman, Adam DeLoache, Romy Nos, Scott Boyer, Scott Tarleston, Bobby Cousins, Summer Schmidt and Samatha Johnson.
