Some Lexington County schools announce switch to e-learning amid Hurricane Helene

According to the National Weather Service, heavy rainfall for the Midlands area will begin Thursday afternoon with East winds around 16 mph.  

With that, here are Lexington County schools that are transitioning to e-learning on Friday, Sept. 27.

Lexington One announced they will switch to e-learning as well as employees working from home unless told differently by supervisors. Extracurricular activities have been suspended until 3 p.m. on Friday.

Lexington Two has canceled after-school activities that occur after 5 p.m. today and have moved to e-learning on Friday as well. 

Lexington-Richland Five has also announced schools and offices, including their virtual FIVE program, will be switching to e-learning on Friday.

Lexington Four will transition to an e-learning day and coaches will be in contact with students regarding after-school activities and athletics. 

Lexington Three has not made an announcement at this time.
