Lake Murray fisherman showed their appreciation to Lexington County first responders last month. The First Responder “Thank You” Fishing Derby was organized to recognize Lexington County Firemen, Dispatchers & EMS workers for their service. The derby was held at Dreher Island State Park in Prosperity September 28. Lake Murray boat captains provided their boats and bait for the responders. Hudson BBQ catered the lunch. Volunteers weighed and filleted the fish. The top 3 winners were: Michael Collado, Austin Raslowsky, and Martin Friar. Thank you to all who serve our community.
