Lexington Girls Softball registration for the spring season is closing soon; register before January 31 to avoid late fees. They offer age groups from age 6 to 16 and up, with a discount for siblings. You can register online at www.lgssc.com or on Friday the 31st at the fields in the Red Bank Arena park at 1159 Nazareth Road. Registration closes at midnight on February 14th, Assessments for all players happen February 3rd, 4th, and 6th. The season begins March 16th.

The Upward Basketball season at Red Bank Baptist has come to a close. This Sunday evening at 5 pm the players will be honored at the Upward Award Night, held at the church on South Lake Drive. Thanks to Red Bank Baptist for continuing to host this uplifting program that stresses sportsmanship and spirituality.

If you’ve shopped before at the Treasure Island indoor flea market that was located in West Columbia, you might be interested to know that it’s coming to Red Bank soon. The Treasure Island sign went up last week and interior construction and remodeling work began at the former Taylor Hardware building that has hosted Empire Gymnastics and the Optimize fitness gym. It will offer bingo at night and sale tables and booths during the weekend days.
