Lexington County homicide investigation continues after two years

Posted

Lexington resident Tyler Robinson was shot and killed outside of his home at Lauren Ridge Apartments two years ago.

Robinson had been shot several times and Lexington EMS administered aid. He was then transported to the hospital where he was pronounced dead.

While investigating the incident, detectives found evidence that several subjects were involved and that the incident was a planned event.

Right after Robinson was shot, he was robbed of jewelry and a watch. The suspects also burglarized his apartment.

Detectives continue to search for pieces of custom jewelry that belonged to Robinson including two jeweled gold rings, a gold necklace with two pendants and a jeweled gold watch.

“It’s been two years since Tyler Robinson was killed and I want to let his family, friends, and those involved in his death know that our Criminal Investigations Division continues to follow up on new leads and that this is still a very active case,” Town of Lexington Police Chief Terrence Green said in the press release. “We won’t give up and we know that the right person will come forward with the information to bring justice to this homicide.”

Anyone with knowledge about this homicide is encouraged to come forward and contact Detective Corporal Kenneth Heath at either 803-358-1557 or kheath@lexsc.gov.
