2 Lexington County educators will travel to Puerto Rico to help with Hurricane Maria recovery efforts.

Luke Clamp, principal of River Bluff High School, and Erica Page, assistant principal of Pelion High School will head to Puerto Rico in January with the Lifetouch Memory Mission to help rebuild a community school devastated by the storm.

Colegio Bautista in Juncos, PR is home to 120 kindergarten through 9th grade students.

After Hurricane Maria, the school had standing water in the classrooms, sections of the roof completely gone, windows broken, and electrical cords tangled.

Trees were uprooted and fences gone. The small playground and trampoline were turned upside down.

As part of the 16th Life-touch Memory Mission, Clamp and Page will join nearly 45 educators and Lifetouch employees from across North America to offer assistance to the students and families.

In addition to the repair and rebuilding efforts, volunteers will organize a school picture day, taking photos of the students and hand delivering their portraits on the last day of the trip.

The teachers will be on Facebook Live to broadcast their efforts. The dates are:

• Luke Clamp - Thursday, January 24 at am EST

• Erica Page - Friday, January 25 at 9:30 am EST
