Lexington school named National Beta School of Distinction

East Point Academy, a charter school located in West Columbia, has been named a 2023-2024 National Beta School of Distinction after increasing its club membership by more than 10% over the past school year.

“National Beta School of Distinction is an honor for Beta clubs that strive for academic achievement, exemplary character, leadership demonstration and service to others,” the press release read.

The head of East Point Academy said that he is proud of the students in the Beta Club for demonstrating excellence.

“This award recognizes the excellence of our students and the high standards that are maintained at East Point Academy. I am confident that our students embody the four key pillars of the National Beta Club: Achievement, Character, Leadership, and Service. Congratulations to all who helped achieve this most prestigious award,” he said in the press release.
