LRADAC brings Christmas to families in need

Posted

The spirit of the holiday season is alive and well at LRADAC.

Lexington/Richland Alcohol and Drug Abuse Council’s Maternal Outreach Management Services program serves pregnant women who are in recovery from substance misuse.

It partners with local ob-gyn offices, social services, parenting agencies and community partners to help facilitate services for prenatal care.

Since the program began in 2010, it has welcomed 319 healthy substance-free babies into the world with 22 healthy babies born last year.

LRADAC thanks its employees, volunteers and everyone else who donated gifts for the moms and their families.
