One of Meadow Glen Middle’s robotics teams competed on the international stage, winning an award for excellent teamwork. MGMS’s “Gator Gears” represented South Carolina at the FIRST LEGO League Razorback Open Invitational in May. Competing against teams from around the world, they won first place for teamwork. Members of the Gator Gears include MGMS’s Sydney C. Davis, Sachi Lal and Celeste C. Sullivan, and River Bluff High freshmen Hir D. Panchal, Sarina Y. Patel, Anuska Sharma and Rebecca L. Yu. Seventy-two teams competed in the event, hosted by the Freshman Engineering Program at the University of Arkansas. Gator Gears scored 184 points in the robot game competition.
