Celestial Memorial Gardens is newly remodeled and back open.

The Cayce-West Columbia Chamber of commerce held a ribbon cutting Oct. 10 at 3111 Delree St.

They also highlighted upgrades to the mausoleum.

Celestial’s owner Bruce Walker welcomed a crowd of 50-60 chamber members and guests.

Walker and his wife Tonda introduced the staff and welcomed guests to tour the new office.

The upgrades included new paint and carpet, a new reception area, a family room and a new office for the bookkeeper.

Celestial Memorial Gardens is one of the few remaining family-owned perpetual care cemeteries left in Lexington County.

Celestial Memorial Gardens will host its annual candlelight remembrance Dec. 7.
