A Cayce woman was struck and killed in the 5800 block of Edmund Highway Tuesday.

Lexington County Coroner Margaret Fisher said Lisa Claudine Fry, 47, was pronounced dead a short time after being struck by a motor vehicle around 4:40 am Nov. 2 near Pelion.

The vehicle in which Fry had been traveling became disabled, which led her to exit the vehicle. She was in the roadway when she was struck by an approaching vehicle.

The other occupant of Fry’s vehicle and the driver of the other vehicle were uninjured.

The South Carolina Highway Patrol is investigating the incident.
