Brickmaking is an important part of the Cayce area history all the way back to Colonial times.

Guignard Brickworks is one of the oldest brick factories in the United States and still attracts thousands of visitors every year.

The Cayce Historical Museum will be offering a presentation by Carry Briggs from the Historic Camden Association. He will discus the history and art of brickmaking and his own experiences making colonial style bricks.

The event will be Thursday, Oct. 7 at 6 pm at the museum. Call 803-550-9530 for more details.
