Are you, like many parents of small children, running out of things for the kids to do this summer? Looking for something fun that’s both indoors and outdoors? Next week is the last of the series of summer camp weeks offered by Red Bank United Methodist Church Preschool, and it promises to be the most fun of the bunch --“Water World.”

It’s a week full of aquatic inspired art such as watercolors, lots of mermaids, sharks, and of course outdoor water fun. It’s not too late to register. Visit the church’s Facebook page for more information or the preschool page at www.rbumc.com. While you’re there, be sure and look into the after school care program they’ll be offering this coming school year.

Lexington Girls Softball, which plays and practices at the Red Bank Arena park fields on Nazareth Road, is registering for the fall ball season. If you sign up the week of July 21-27,  you’ll get the early bird discount price of $60. After July 27,  it goes up to $65. Registration online at www.lgssc.com or in person at the ball fields July 23-25,  6:30-8 p.m.  For information email GIRLSSOFTBALL@LGSSC.COM, or call 803-216-5245.

Happy birthday this week to Yvonne Miller, Travis Nicholson, Lynn Boatwright, Ciara Ann Purday, Darin Kyzer, Anna Barrier, Karen Cress, Teresa Ellerbee, Caleb Taylor, Brady Waits, Heather Pace, Rev. Bob Dunn, Jaden Baker, John Vernon Gunter.

Happy Anniversary this week to Lauren and Ashley Corley.
