A former Tampa Bay Buccaneers team chaplain will speak in Lexington Saturday.
RV Brown played football at Airport High School and SC State before making a big career change.
In 1977, Brown committed his life to Christ and became involved with a college FCA Huddle group. Brown’s experience with FCA paved the way for a life of sports ministry and youth evangelism.
The 16th of 17 children, Brown was a five-sport athlete at Airport. After a four-year football career at South Carolina State University, he graduated with a degree in special education and embarked on a teaching and coaching career within the Chattanooga Public Schools system.
In 1988, Brown founded Outreach To America’s Youth and went into full-time evangelistic ministry. He took his past experiences across the country to churches, prisons, camps, conferences, college campuses, public school assemblies, as well as into more than 40 nations.
The public is invited to the Harvest Lexington, 4865 Sunset Blvd., on March 2 at 8:30 am for a quick breakfast, and to hear from RV.
Cost is $5 and can be paid at the door.
