Parkland Plaza to gain new tenants in shopping center

Parkland Plaza is gaining a couple of new tenants in its shopping center. The outparcel building in the plaza is being leased to Oak Street Health, a primary health care practice providing care for older adults.

Oak Street Health, owned by CVS Health, was founded in 2012 and has more than 200 locations across the nation.

According to the press release, “Oak Street Health will offer a state-of-the-art clinic in the outparcel building on the State Street side of Parkland Plaza,” said Rox Pollard, Vice President and Director of Retail Services Team at Colliers. “It will add to the plaza’s existing health and wellness tenants and provide a great service to the entire downtown Columbia, Cayce and West Columbia area.”

The plaza’s tenants already include Food Lion, ACE Hardware, Planet Fitness, Capital Climbing, Beall’s and East Bay Deli among others. The outparcel building is located in the plaza across from the Bank of America building.

In the shopping strip, Five Below is expected to lease the area this fall. It will be by East Bay Deli and in the former Jewelry Warehouse.

Parkland Plaza is a 174,833-square-foot shopping center located near the USC campus, according to the press release. Columbia’s Central Business District, USC's baseball stadium and the nearby riverfront developments. Parkland Plaza was recently renovated with a new contemporary look.

With approximately 28,000 vehicles passing by per day on Knox Abbott Drive and approximately 8,100 vehicles per day on State Street, the shopping center provides great visibility with close proximity to Columbia’s downtown district.
