Pelion High senior Yessenia Castellanos won the Class 2-A, 800-meter state title.

Yessenia, in her 4th year on Pelion High’s track and field team, set a school record with a race time of 2 minutes and 21.98 seconds at the state meet.

Congratulations to Yessenia for her 4 years at Pelion High School and all the records she has set throughout that time.

New regulations will ban Argentine black and white tegus from being brought into South Carolina.

Owners must register their reptiles with the SC Department of Natural Resources.

The Argentine black and white tegu is a popular reptile in numerous counties in South Carolina.
