Pharmacy sells for $6 million

A Louisville, KY, health care company has bought the CVS pharmacy at 500 Knox Abbott Drive for $6.05 million. The sale by Vereit Real Estate was to Harrodsburg, LLC. The company was founded in 2014 providing nursing and rehabilitative services to patients needing continuous care.

Other county property news includes:

• 467 Greenetree Lane in Lexington by Kevin and Debra Neuman to Shawn Gear-heart and Ivana Gearheart for $990,000.

• .76 Acres on Columbia Avenue at Ellett Road in Chapin by W. Brinkley Melvin to P.A. Chapin, LLC for $840,000.

• 941 Battenkill Court in Lexington by Michael C. Scherck and Lisa L. Scherck to Samuel G. Eubanks Jr. and Colleen K. Eu-banks for $670,900.

• 206 Medical Drive in West Columbia by Betty and Gerald B’Rells Revocable Trusts to M. A. Moustafa for $600,000.

• Tim and Sarah Jur leased office space at 1022 State Street in Cayce to Three Oaks Engineering, Inc.

Bill Dukes’ new fish camp

Blue Marlin restaurant founder Bill Dukes of Chapin has opened his own fish camp.

Bill grew up on Lake Wylie where fish camps were popular. In his research for the Blue Marlin he found other fish camps.

His new Oak Grove Fish House on Oak Dive is in the former Vegetable Medley.

The Palmetto Experience held its ribbon cutting with the Greater Cayce-West Columbia Chamber of Commerce.

The facility on the Saluda River beside Riverbanks Zoo is for group retreats and events that includes meeting space, waterside recreation, transportation, catering and lodging.

It is designed to over an adventure for groups of 4-up-to 50-plus people.

London, here we come

Planning to fly to London? You will no longer have to go through Atlanta. British Airways plans to fly in and out of Charleston International starting today.

The $10 million cost of the upgrades, are being paid for by the Charleston County Aviation Authority, i.e taxpayers.

2 major construction projects must be finished before the 1st flight arrives today: a kitchen for on-flight meals and an overhaul of the airport’s federal inspection station.
