State of the union

So far 2020 has been a great year for our country and for President Trump. After his acquittal in the sham impeachment, the President an inspiring State of the Union address, reaffirming his commitment to keeping his promises and demonstrated how his Administration has generated the Great American Comeback.

President Trump has worked tirelessly for Americans through his pro-job, pro-family, and pro-America agenda.

In his State of the Union address, he reported that the economy is strong which is meaningful news for American families.

He pointed out the successes of the new Trade Agreement with China and the United States-Mexico-Canada-Agreement. President Trump has said he would work for deals that would benefit the United States and he has kept his promise to create jobs.

South Carolina has seen his kept promises first-hand. At 2.3 percent, South Carolina’s unemployment rate is at a record low. Since President Trump’s election, 122,000 jobs have been created in South Carolina—including 19,000 manufacturing jobs, wages increased by an average of $5,000 for families in South Carolina. President Trump is focused on creating a better future for working Americans with productive jobs.

The United States is also safe under President Trump. This Administration is protecting America’s National Security by Peace through Strength. He has established red lines when it comes to the safety of our nation and enemies now know that if they cross that line, there will be consequences. The President pointed out in his address that American strength and resolve is the best strategy for keeping American families safe and protecting our interests. Because of these necessary measures, America is strong once again.

President Trump’s historic State of the Union address celebrated job successes and military strength and America and presented an optimistic vision of America’s future. I am confident that looking forward, this Administration will continue the momentum of the Great American Comeback. I am grateful that our President continues his record of promises made, promises kept.

3 crucial questions for nuclear power advocates

The slogan of the utility industry in the 1970’s was nuclear power was “too cheap to meter.” Now we know the slogan should be “too stupid to build.”

If nuclear power is so clean, why does it depend on dirty politics?

If nuclear power is so safe, why does it require limits on liability?

If nuclear power is such a good investment, why does it require pre-payment from its ratepayers?
