I commend the Chronicle for reporting on the storm water proposals the county council considered. If not for you, most voters would have been unaware of its cost.

As covid ravages us, the kerfuffle about what to call the financial impact on homes and businesses – a fee or a tax – is a distinction without a difference. Tax, levy, whatever, it involves taking dollars from one group and their assignment to a different group. Simple as that.

You have addressed issues of importance to the citizens of this county and we all owe you a debt of gratitude.
