The registration process for Forts Pond Elementary School 2018-2019 year begins July 23. The office will be open for assistance with online registration (computers will be available for access) from 7:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Thursday. School office is closed on Fridays. Reminder that the Pelion Farmers and Craft Market will be June 23, 8 a.m. until 1 p.m., on the walking trail by the playground.

The Summer Reading Kickoff at the Pelion Library was a great success with lots of people attending. Free snow cones, cookies, books, and games were enjoyed by all. Thanks to all the volunteers who helped with this event!

Pelion Branch Library will host Tim Sonefelt with his “Rockin’ Reading Revue” June 15 at 10:30 a.m. He will take you on a musical adventure with amazing magic and hilarious puppetry. Larry the duck will be there creating his own musical mayhem. This event is for grades K-5.

Charcoal Drawing 101 will be held June 16 at 10 a.m. for ages 18 and up. This program is presented by Jeffrey Miller. Tween Extreme will host a Scavenger Hunt June 19 at 3:30 p.m. for grades 4-7. Explore and join in the fun to solve clues, riddles and mysteries about famous musicians and recording artists using things found throughout the library. A Rock Painting Party will be held June 21 at 6 p.m. for ages 15 and up.
