Congratulations to Springdale resident John Tidwell on winning a VISA gift card from the Lexington Countywide Stormwater Consortium.

The LCSC sought feedback from Lexington County residents about stormwater runoff pollution. Each participant was entered to win. With this information, the LCSC was able to better target stormwater concerns for communities of Lexington County.

More than 30 Airport High School cheer-leading alumni and coaches were back at school the last Friday night for a special Cheer Night. The gathering took place before the Airport versus Brookland-Cayce basketball game. There was a reception in the field house to kick off the event.

The former Airport cheerleaders and coaches were recognized at halftime. They then joined current cheerleaders for the alma mater and school fight song. Beth Ruff was an organizer of the event.

a single-vehicle collision on the campus of River Bluff High School last Thursday damaged one of the school’s signs.

Traffic was backed up on I-20 westbound in Lexington County last Wednesday afternoon. The crash complicated the evening commute. State Troopers diverted traffic to U.S. 1.
