S.C. HIGH SCHOOL LEAGUE SPORTS RETURNS

Lexington Districts 2, 4 and 5 opened its facilities for student-athletes this past Monday. Fall sports (football, volleyball) were allowed to resume workouts after a 3-month hiatus following restrictions placed by the governor’s office due to the pandemic. Each of the districts were in compliance with S.C. High School League Phase 1 restrictions for returning to sports which included - Maintaining minimum physical distancing of 6 feet between participants at all times, daily health and temperature screening of athletes, coaches and staff, face covering when not actively participating in sports and no lockerroom usage.

DUTCH FORK

Dutch Fork head football coach and athletics director Tom Knotts leads his players during running drills this past Monday. The Silver Foxes are looking to become the 1st team in S.C. High School League history to win 5 consecutive state titles. They also enter next season riding a 40-game undefeated streak.
