Should Big Brother choose for you?

“Covid has taken a devastating toll on folks across the nation physically, emotionally, and economically,” the senator wrote in a message he emailed us.

“As I’ve said for the past year, I want our economy and our country to fully reopen. That means getting kids back in school and adults back to work.

“But our battle with covid-19 won’t be won by Washington elites making sweeping declarations or federal mandates.

“At a time when our nation’s leaders should be working together for solutions and bringing people together, Biden’s actions are creating a world of division,” he wrote.

We agree. Instead of politicizing this, we encourage everyone to use sound common sense.

We are not children who need to be led by the powerful hand of Big Brother in Washington.

The Biden administration and the leftist-controlled Congress look more and more like the over-reaching government of George Orwell’s “1984.”

It has just taken more than 30 years for it to happen here.

No doubt covid vaccines provide protection against severe illness and death.

But if you have survived it and have antibodies, it makes no sense to be vaccinated.

Real science confirms this. About 80% of covid patients in SC have not been fully vaccinated. Nationally, those unvaccinated are nearly 30 times more likely to be in a hospital.

We believe vaccination is the right choice but it should be your choice – no one else.

Real science confirms this.

We’ve been vaccinated with no ill effect and hope you have, too, if you need it.

It was our choice and we think the choice for you is a personal one. It should not be dictated by the government.

Sen. Tim Scott happens to agree with us. He says President Biden’s attempt to force private companies into mandating vaccinations for employees is clear government overreach.

It won’t bring us any closer together or help us solve the man problems we are facing as the President promised to do.

Getting the vaccine should be your choice, not over-reaching Washington politicians.
