Smith-Shipman

Misty Smith and Logan Shipman, both of Lexington, were married July 5, 2019, at Red Bank Baptist Church in Lexington. The Rev. Mike Carter performed the six o’clock ceremony, which was followed by a reception.

The bride is the granddaughter of Gerald and Cindy Smith of Lexington. The bridegroom is the son of Alvin and Elizabeth Shipman of Lexington. The bride was escorted by her grandfather. The bridesmaids of honor were Emily Faulling of Gilbert, Morgan Jeffcoat of Lexington, and Carlie Dean of Lexington. The junior bridesmaid was Aubrey Smith of Lexington. The flower girl was the couple’s goddaughter, Ella Faulling of Lexington.

The best man was Nathan Evans of Lexington and the groomsman was Patrick Nix of Lexington. The ring bearer was the bride’s cousin, Nathan Smith of Lexington.

The bride is a graduate of White Knoll High School and will graduate from Charleston Southern University in the spring with a Bachelor’s of Science in Nursing.

The groom is a graduate of Lexington High School and is currently serving with the South Carolina Army National Guard.

Following a wedding trip to Charleston, the couple will reside in Lexington.
