Chronicle Country athletes enjoyed a high presence in this year’s S.C. High School Soccer Coaches Association All-State teams.
A total of 29 players from nine local schools made their respective classification teams. Two-time defending state boys’ soccer champion Chapin and Class 3A Swansea girls both had four All-State selections each, followed by both Gray Collegiate teams and Class 5A finalist Lexington and Chapin girls with three each:
SCHSSCA ALL-STATE TEAMS
(BOYS)
Class 5A: Preston Floyd and Jonathan Foster (both of River Bluff), Grant Wagner & Damon Williams (both of Dutch Fork)
Class 4A: Sailer Chason, Josh Corning, Ethan Dawsey & Colin Harris (all of Chap-in)
Class 3A: Angel Barraza (Gilbert)
Class 2A: Spencer Ayen, Noah Davis & Luis Lopez (All of Gray Collegiate)
(GIRLS)
Class 5A: Hannah Rose Corley (River Bluff), Megan Classer, Brooke Power & Mary Katherine Waters (all of Lexington).
Class 4A: Katie Arthur, Amanda Esposito & Anna Remensnyder (all of Chap-in) & Courtney Farr (Airport)
Class 3A: Carlie Branham, Bri Reynolds, Jane Ashley Meredity & Rachel Burns (all of Swansea)
Class 2A: Kayann Glass, Ada Jenkins and Catherine McKeown (All of Gray Collegiate) Nicole Lee, Paige Kaiser & Evelyn Robinson (B-L)
