Children at Sandhills Primary Elementary School got a special delivery last week- reading buddies

Teachers know how important it is to read daily. The more children read, the better readers they become. To encourage more reading at home, 1st and 2nd grade students in Ms. Mary Eades’ and Ms. Angela Farris’ classes received their own reading buddies. These young students “adopted” a new stuffed friend, promised to read to their buddy each day for at least 20 minutes, and started on the road to being a lifelong reader. It was an exciting day at SPES.
