Specialty shoe store expands its reach

Foot Solutions is now The Orthocare Place

A local specialty shoe store has re-opened after a mandatory covid-19 shutdown.

The former Foot Solutions in the Murraywood Shopping Centre on St. Andrews Road near Irmo is now The Orthocare Center.

Owner John “Sion” Owen felt that the Foot Solutions Franchise limited the range of products and services he could offer. He decided to rebrand into an orthotic and prosthetic medical facility.

The change from a family foot store to a medical boutique will allow the store to be classified as an essential business and remain open during any future shutdowns.

And it is better for the health of the store’s patients. They now have an even better selection of comfort shoes, diabetic footwear, compression socks and hose, wound care equipment and nail spa for hard to cut nails.

Currently The Orthocare Place has moved to appointments preferably, but can accommodate some walk-ins based on current CDC and DHEC guidelines.

For appointments call 803-781-1269 or visit www.theorthocareplace.com .
