Summer fun at the library

The Summer Reading Program “Tails & Tales” at the Gilbert-Summit Branch Library kicked-off last week and runs until August 8.

Registration cards are available at the library or you can register online. Children can record their weekly reading on the cards. For every 5 squares, a child will be entered for a grand prize. Children can win a prize after completing any 5 challenges. For details call 803-785-5387.

LAST WEEK Gilbert High seniors were treated to a “Senior Drive Thru.” Each senior received a bag of GHS goodies, graduation tickets and yearbooks. The Class of 2021 graduated June 9.

GILBERT SCOUT Pack 60 thanks the community for their support of their yard sale and hot dog fundraiser. Pack 60 Scouts raised over $1,000.

AFTER 22 years at Gilbert Middle School, Tomain Geddings has retired. Tomain began her career as a math teacher and sponsor for GMS cheerleading and their yearbook. GMS has a new principal. Dr. Kyle Meetze received a meet and greet this week by the faculty, staff and students.
