I hope your school year goes well, whether online, hybrid, private or home schooling. Teachers are unsung heroes, and they need our support and prayers.

DID YOU honor your dog on National Dog Day? My doggie got some yummy “people food” and the gift of 2 rescue kittens, “Grace and Pip Squeak”. “Molly” didn’t seem to be thrilled about her 2 new companions. Pets are like family and are blessings in our lives. Many cats and dogs are waiting for their “fur-ever” homes in the midlands. Check the Lexington County Animal Shelter and other nonprofits for your next loyal companion!

I GAINED the “Corona 5” and am working on losing that extra weight. Returning to exercise classes and not eating ice cream helped lose the first couple of pounds. Walk the trails at Saluda Shoals and work out at Irmo-Chapin Recreation help get you moving at an affordable cost. Saluda Shoals has a robotics class and Nature Immersion Preschool classes. Do you love Revolutionary War history? The exhibit “To preserve us from utter ruin: The Revolution of 1719” is at the SC Department of Archives and History from 8:30 am - 5 pm and will run through September. For more information, call 803-771-2477.
