The Quail was flying last week. The 1st stop was a special called Town of Swansea budget public hearing on teleconferencing. Swansea is still the only town in the area not meeting in person.
No newspaper posting was done before this meeting as required by law. And Mayor Sanders allowed a non-resident to ask about points incorrect in the budget but then ignored her questions.
Next stop was the District 4 School Board meeting. Highlights included the new branding logos that were shown. Teachers interviewed stated that they work in a safe environment and Dave Toole, who is in charge of operations, showed the board the sprayers that are used to sanitize the buildings, buses and areas within their control. 2 types are handheld units and 1 is a backpack unit for larger areas and hallways.
