I am grateful that every year I have the opportunity to visit all 5 counties I serve and meet with the people of South Carolina’s 2nd District in my annual bus tour.

I look forward to it every year to learn from constituents of their achievements and challenges. It is inspiring to visit with chamber members, tour small businesses that create jobs, learn of successes at local schools, and see new businesses flourish.

On this year’s tour, I had the opportunity to see first-hand the growth and prosperity of the 2nd District.

The Irmo Chamber of Commerce hosted a town hall with constituents. I visited Spring Hill High School where I spoke with administrators about their becoming one of America’s top high schools and answered questions from students on public service.

Later we stopped by Sorinex Exercise Equipment in Lexington which is a classic example of a garage-originated business that now produces equipment worldwide.

After 4 days, 5 counties and almost 20 stops, I could not be more thankful to serve the 2nd District in Congress. Our office in West Columbia is always open to you.

Congressman Joe Wilson, Springdale
