The Dickerson Children’s Advocacy Center in Lexington receives a donation of $76,000 from The DCAC Fun(d) raisers April 11. Since October 1999, the Fun(d)raisers have donated close to $1 million to the Dickerson CAC. The DCAC provides comprehensive assessment and treatment services to physically and sexually abused children ages 0-18 years throughout the Midlands. They plan to use the funds for added programs, structure repairs to its Gibson Road facility, trauma therapies, and sound-proofing interview rooms, as well as other general operating costs.
