Are you ready for some high school football? The coviddelayed season begins for the White Knoll Timberwolves tonight with a Junior Varsity matchup at home against Dutch Fork. Tomorrow night the varsity travels to Dutch Fork to start its season.

Lexington District 1 has bought land on Old Two Notch Road for a new bus facility. This is good news because it will mean relieving the problem of keeping buses at White Knoll High for our attendance area, taking that traffic off Platt Springs Road which needs less congestion in that area.

Changes are coming to the Dollar General on Platt Springs Road with a full re-modeling this coming week. The store will close Sunday, Sept. 25 at 5 pm and be closed for most of the week as they refit the interior for an updated format that will greatly increase the store’s perishable food, home décor and more. An official “grand re-opening” will be in October. They should be back in business by next Friday.
