This week’s Quail’s Roost has both sad and good news to report. 1st, the sad news.
The Town of Salley’s longest serving mayor has passed at age 94. Nathan “Bob” Salley served for 25 years. He served in the military in WWII and the Korean War. We will miss “Mayor Bob” and pray for his family.
The good news is that the Quail spent time at Avalo Cat Sanctuary to help with some needed work. Please look them up on Facebook and you can see for yourself why The Quail likes visiting there.
If you are looking for a tax deduction, they are accepting donations. All proceeds go to the health and well-being of close to 300 furry little friends, domestic and exotic. If you would like to tour the sanctuary, please call for an appointment. And tell them the Quail sent ya!
Until next week, my friends, fly safe.
