Treats for the cat sanctuary

Posted

Last week the Quail visited several towns and Avalo cat sanctuary.

Wagener has continuing issues with the fire department status. Positive discussion is going on between several departments and Aiken County on how what to do on this issue. Businesses and residents are covered by other fire departments.

In Gaston, the Quail attended the town meeting. An article in The Fish Wrapper tells about it. It felt good to get back into a regular flight pattern after 2 holidays.

Gaston had an election Tuesday, Jan. 12. Results were not official so I will report them in next week’s column. The Quail’s prediction is that Mayor Troy Bivens and Councilman Mike Cook and Councilwoman Carol McCombs will keep their seats.

The Quail flew down to Avalo Cat Sanctuary for a delivery and a visit. A local resident needed treats delivered. Avalo is a favorite place to go as I am greeted by several residents. Yes, they enjoyed the treats.
