Want to warm up on a cold January day?

Regular admission is $10 for adults and $5 for kids under 12. Tickets are available at Blowfish on Main, online and the morning of the event. Proceeds benefit Lexington County first responders and families in need.

Come out for that hearty bowl of chili and warm up the lives of others.

Coming up is the annual Lexington County Museum Gala sponsored by the Friends of the Museum. The event, honoring our Lexington County veterans with their Love Letter from the Past, will be held Saturday, February 16 at the Lexington Municipal Center from 6 to 1 pm. Tickets are $60 in advance and $65 at the door. You may call 803-359-8369 or go to http:/lexingtoncountymuseum.org/get.involved/ .

There will be beverages and a buffet dinner by Scott Hall Catering. Frank Macaulay’s Great Society Band will provide enjoyable music for listening and dancing.

A silent auction also will offer many items for your interest. There will be 200 Blowfish tickets, books and a visit to Lexington restaurants.

Proceeds will assist the museum in replacing the roof of the 1850 Gin House and enhancement of exhibits. We must preserve our Lexington County history and treasures.
