We have the 3rd highest number of military enlistees per 1,000 residents.

Georgia was #1.

We are 7th in active duty military personnel per 100,000 residents.

It will come as no surprise that our state and other Red States (conservatives) scored higher on the patriotism scale than than Blue States (liberals), the personal-finance website WalletHub found in its report on 2021’s Most Patriotic States in America with videos and expert commentary.

To determine where Americans have the most red, white and blue pride, WalletHub compared the 50 states across 13 key indicators of patriotism. Our data set ranges from the state’s military enlistees and veterans to the share of adults who voted in the 2020 presidential election to Ameri-Corps volunteers per capita.
