Pelion Elementary Principal Debbie Poole welcome back students and staff to the new school year. Pelion Elementary welcomes the following new staff members: Breanna Robinson, 3K; Chrissy Larkin, 2nd grade; Lisa Thornsberry, 3rd grade, Rebecca Shea, 5th grade, Brittany Semkiw, 5th grade; Savanna Prosise, CC1a; Rebecca Spell, nurse; and Desiree Mutcherson-Peacock, Speech.

School hours are now 7:50 am to 2 pm. All parents are urged to get their children to school on time. With our AA BB model, students do not attend school on Fridays.

Pelion Panthers varsity football plays at Columbia HS Sept. 25 at 7:30 pm. Girls tennis plays Williston-Elko Sept. 29 at 5 pm and JV/V volleyball plays Edisto Sept. 29 at 5 pm. Pelion varsity volleyball plays at Swansea Sept. 30 at 6:30 pm.

Convent Baptist Church has Bible Trivia every Wednesday at 7 pm. Everyone is invited to participate.

Convent will hold their annual Fall Festival Oct. 25 so save the date.
