LEXINGTON CO. COLLECTION/RECYCLING STATION HOURS: Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday 7 am until 7 pm; Sundays 3 pm until 7 pm; Tuesday and Thursday closed. Closed New Year’s Day, Independence Day, Thanksgiving and Christmas Day. Inclement weather or other emergency situations may result in temporary closings of some or all collection and recycling centers on a per incident basis. Every effort will be made to notify the public if such closings are required.

EVENTS

CHRISTMAS IN CAYCE: Dec. 3, 6-8 pm, Cayce City Hall. Drive-thru the annual Tree Lighting, hear carols along the Riverwalk and visit the Christmas Open House at the Cayce Historical museum. Santa and Mrs. Claus will arrive in the city’s vintage 1938 firetruck. The Woman’s Club of Cayce is collecting canned goods and non-perishable food items to benefit God’s Helping Hands and the Scooter Scott Project. You can make a donation online until November 29 or bring your food items on Dec. 3.

HISTORIC COLUMBIA MANSION TOURS: Dec. 12, 10 am-1 pm (requires timed tickets and face masks), Hampton-Preston Mansion and Gardens. Geared to familes and children ages 2 to 12 accompanied by at least 1 adult. Tour houses, children make crafts and explore holiday season of the past. STATE MUSEUM VIRTUAL AT-HOME CAMPS: Registration now open for SC State Museum winter camps to be held Dec. 21-23 and Dec. 28- 31, 10:30 a.m.-noon, for ages 6-11. Camps will focus natural history, astronomy, art, S.T.E.A.M and more. Material kits available for each day and can be picked up at the museum prior to the camp.
