Two basketball players earned Athlete of the Week after leading their teams to playoff victories. In a win-or-go-home scenario, these athletes found multiple ways to contribute to a win and helped advance their team to the next round.

River Bluff’s Yasir Cromer won athlete of the week after a high-scoring performance in the Gators first-round home win over Gaffney.
Cromer scored 31 points on 10-17 shooting, including 6-8 from behind three. He added eight points from the free throw line converting on numerous and-one opportunities. He also led the Gators in assists with eight.
River Bluff lost its second playoff game on the road against Mauldin, but Cromer still made an impact. He scored 16 points for the second-highest total on the team.
Earlier last week, Cromer was announced as a selection to the All-Region team and the 5A All-State team.
Gray Collegate’s Diamond Tatum earned Athlete of the Week after helping her team advance through the first week of playoff action.
Tatum stuffed the stat sheet for Gray in the first-round win over Chesnee. She was one of three players to score 16 points but added six steals, four assists and three rebounds.
In the second round, she led Gray in scoring with 17 points to help the War Eagles blow out Mid-Carolina. 62-17.
Tatum also earned All-Region honors last week. Her play has helped Gray get off to a strong start on their journey to repeat as Champions.
