CIU continues its success

Posted

Columbia International University’s LAUNCH program is a year old.

LAUNCH is now part of the new CIU School of Business and Professional Studies, which has become the fastest growing “college” at CIU and houses the 2 largest undergraduate programs – Business Administration and Sport Management.

Some of the programs under LAUNCH are:

Student and Career Counseling, including preparation and review of resumes, interview preparation, coaching and “personal branding” for students.

A professionally-equipped Skype studio for conducting online interviews, podcasts and personal YouTube channels.

Assistance in establishing and counseling community and student-owned businesses.

Counseling to various ministries such as those related to intercultural hospitality, youth activities and other ministries.

They sponsored over a dozen seminars for the community, plus an annual career fair for Christian businesses.

Provide ongoing staffing services by identifying and providing qualified workers for area businesses that are looking for Christian business students.

Even though LAUNCH is aimed at helping businesses, CIU considers it a ministry. They feel a Christian obligation to be a blessing to local businesses and to the faith communities.

They are succeeding.
