When is it?

The Festival is always held on July 4th, unless the 4th falls on a Sunday -- then the Festival will be Saturday, July 3rd.

Where is it?

For many years, the Peach Festival was held on the grounds of our old Gilbert High School. When the park was constructed, the festival was moved to the park, with the overflow activities taking place in the Gilbert Primary School and on the grounds of the Gilbert Middle School.

Where should I park?

Handicap Parking is available in the main Gilbert Primary School parking lot, with handicap accessible ramp to the Gilbert Community Park. Access to this Parking Lot is Restricted during parade (9:30 - 10:30 a.m.). Other festival parking is available at First Baptist Church Gilbert, Crossroads Baptist, and Gilbert

United Methodist Church.

How do I get there?

Use our directions page at http://www.lexingtoncountypeachfestival.com/faq/ to find the best route to the festival. You can also enter the following address into GPS: 510 Main St., Gilbert, SC 29054

Is admission charged?

No. There is no admission fee to experience the Lexington County Peach Festival. While parking locations may charge a small parking fee, there is no charge to visit the Arts & Crafts Show, live entertainment, car show, and other festival events.

Are dogs (or other pets) permitted at the festival?

No. At times, areas around the park may become congested with heavy foot traffic - we ask that patrons leave their lovable critters at home due to the concern of their safety, as well as the safety and comfort of all festival guests.

What kind of food?

Plate lunches will be served in the park beginning at 11 a.m. Available will be Southern Style BBQ Pork and Chicken, sandwiches, hot dogs, hamburgers, and other good food. Peach ice cream, peach cobbler, peach sundaes, peach slush, peach tea, peach almond delights, and fresh peaches will be the speciality.

Are there campgrounds?

To our knowledge, there are not any campgrounds (private nor public) in the immediate area. However, several SC State Parks offer the perfect camping locations:

Dreher Island State Recreation Area, Prosperity, SC // 1 Hour 18 Minutes from Gilbert

Aiken State Natural Area, Aiken, SC. // 1 Hour 6 Minutes from Gilbert.

Sesquicentennial State Park, Columbia, SC. // 45 Minutes from Gilbert

Are there hotels?

There are no hotels or motels located in Gilbert. We highly recommend staying less than 20 minutes away in Lexington.
