It’s almost summertime again.

We spend a lot of time outside in summer.

Many of us are planning vacations, weekend excursions, sports and league practices.

Who doesn’t enjoy a nice, warm day with a beautiful sky and sunshine? But it’s important to stay hydrated.

While we are outside, we may forget to drink water. If you have a busy summer schedule, here are ways to replenish:

• Make watermelon, strawberries, cantaloupe, peaches, oranges, cucumbers, lettuce, zucchini, celery, yogurt, tomatoes, bell peppers, cauliflower, cabbage and grape-fruit available to your family.

water, enriched water • Drink skim milk, broth, soups, coconut like Propel Zero and fruit juices.

• Supplement your water with packets or drops that contain electrolytes, antioxidants and vitamins.

• Add chia seeds to your water. They hold 8-12 times their weight in water which hydrates you and helps with your heart, brain and endurance.

• Sip water every 15-20 minutes to stay replenished. Add lemons or oranges to give water a natural flavor.
