$1M Oakleaf Village upgrade

Posted

Oakleaf Village hosted a “Big Reveal” of their nearly $1 million renovation last week.

There was plenty of food, beverages, desserts and one beautiful ice sculpture of their logo. About 150 people attended.

Discovery Senior Living of Florida acquired Oakleaf Village from its previous owner in August 2017. They decided to do a major update to stay consistent with Oak-leaf’s motto, “If you can’t be at home, Oak-leaf Village is the next best thing.”

They totally rebuilt the activity room, put new carpet everywhere, added more comfortable furniture, remodeled the kitchen, put in more efficient washers and dryers for the residents, did additional landscaping and upgraded the employee lounge, too.

According to Executive Director Ashley Elliott and Keren Pickard, Senior Lifestyle counselor, they did another atypical thing to benefit the residents. They kept the original management and sales team.
