Newcomers Christina Rucker and Bud Summers were elected to the Lexington 2 School Board Tuesday.
Linda Alford-Wooten was re-elected.
Lexington 2 was to hold a special meeting Tuesday to elect new officers. Alford-Wooten was serving as chairwoman before new officers were elected.
Rucker received 7,023 votes for 20%. Summers got 6,030 votes for 17%. Alford-Wooten received 6,464 for 19%.
Incumbent Brad Giles was not re-elected. He was scheduled to be recognized at Tuesday’s meeting.
7 candidates on the ballot ran for 3 seats.
Brad Giles got 5,247 votes for 15%. Wayne McKim got 4,084 votes and 12%. Denise Rish Setzler received 3,566 votes for 10%. Michael Neal got 2,397 votes for 7%.
