20th Lexington Kid’s Day

Rain didn’t stop some families from enjoying Lexington’s Kid’s Day Saturday.

Local businesses set up booths at the Icehouse Amphitheater for the 20th year of Palmetto Chiropractic’s annual event.

The free event from 10 am to 2 pm benefitted the Nancy K. Perry Children’s Shelter and the Dickerson Children’s Advocacy Center in Lexington.

The Chronicle’s Val Augustine reported around 25% of scheduled vendors participated.

She said the rain started around 11 and drove many away.
