Airport High School Educational Foundation is raising money for student scholarships and teacher grants.

The foundation will hold its annual auction April 30 at Airport High School.

Les Evans will be inducted into the Educator Hall of Fame. Distinguished Alumni winners Claude Eison III and R.V. Brown will also be recognized.

Tickets are $50 per person or $90 per couple. Corporate table sponsorships also are available. Social hour and a silent auction start at 6 pm, followed by dinner at 7 at 1315 Boston Ave.

The nonprofit foundation has given nearly $300,000 in scholarships and grants through the years.

“We are grateful to have the support and participation of the many local volunteers and businesses in this event, as it provides scholarships for deserving students and grants for teachers working to improve their skills,” foundation president Donny Burkett said.
